Nordic Walking receives Millennium Stadium Grant

Our Nordic Walking Programme has received a generous grant from the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust.
We would like to say a massive thanks to the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust - this grant will allow us to continue engaging with older people across Wales and to further develop our Nordic Walking programme in these areas.
Nordic Walking provides a number of benefits to older people - it exercises 90% of your muscles increasing strength in your legs, arms, shoulders, chest and back.
The activity is also a fun, social activity designed specifically for older people at different fitness levels and abilities.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help develop our programme in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent.
You will be trained as a Nordic walking instructor or Nordic Walking leader to deliver sessions in your local area. No previous experience is necessary just a love of the outdoors and a passion for working with older people in your local area.
